Tuesday, July 31, 2007 - Meeting Notes
The meeting was called to order a few minutes late.

Dave Q. read the notes from the June meeting, There were no corrections or additions. Accepted as read.

Old Business:

The solar frequency sniffer project: The sniffer is not installed. Todd is searching for a box to mount it in that will hopefully prevent it from being stolen. More on the issues of theft later.

Glen has not been able to find a transmision yet for the donated lawnmower.

The bridge project: Todd reported that building the bridge will cost around 85 for materials. There were a lot of opinions shared over the last month through email. Various ideas and concerns were mentioned, to keep it simple we'll use new material so we can install it and not have to worry about it for a long long time.

NEW Business:

Trash Cans & Butt Cans: It has been mentioned that we have been leaving too much trash laying around, and some of those that smoke are simply flipping their cigarette butts on the ground. Rich is going to setup some garbage cans and some butt cans. Please use them. If you are a smoker please, field strip your smoke & get the butts where they belong. I'll be the first to admit, I'm guilty of flipping them to the ground. We can all do better than that can't we? Thanks!

Theft
: Recently we have been having some serious issues with people taking things that just don't belong to them. We have not yet identified anyone. Things that we know have been stolen are: The irrigation pump, the transmitter for the club trainer, and a members collection of frequency chrystals.

We have a good club for the most part, if you are the person who took any of those items, or other items that have not been mentioned - please return them at once. Let's not get to the point where we are afraid to turn our backs on the pits when we go to the flight line.

Dale Randles Memorial: We have all been missing Dale and all of the other guys who have passed on to fly forever. After just a few minutes of discussion it was mentioned that maybe we could have an annual picnic in June to celebrate the memories of our friends. This picnic will be called "The Dale Randles Memeorial Picnic" and it will take place on the first Sunday in June of every year from now until the end of time. This will be a day of fun flying and sharing stories and photos of those who have left us.

The meeting was adjourned just before 8:00 and some members were able to get a few more flights in.
