Tuesday,
April 24, 2007 - Meeting Notes For
the first time this year we held the meeting at
the field. It rained a little, and was a little
chilly, but it did feel good to be out there
instead of couped up in the hall.
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 - the
minutes from last months meeting were read and
approved along with the treasurer's report.
The fuel was purchased by the club, and club
members can contact any of the club officers to
purchase it for $13.00 per gallon.
Wings of Mercy was discussed briefly, as some of
us forgot when we had commited to it. June 2nd is
the day - we'll need to setup at 7:00 am and be
ready by 8:00 AM. Hope to see you all there.
Our Fun Fly origionally scheduled for June 23rd
has been changed to the 24th of June. It was
voted on and passed. Too many of the members had
other commitments for that saturday. Something
about a wedding, and some of the members were
going to be part of the ceremony.
The frequency sniffer had not yet been recieved
by Todd. He planned on getting it from Bob at the
Grand Valley Fun Fly the following Saturday.
UPDATE: The frequency sniffer has been recieved
and testing has begun.
Spring Cleanup - The mowers are ready except for
the batteries. The clean up will begin on April
29th at 1:00 PM. We'll be painting the fences by
the road, fixing some of the tables, painting
benches & tables and getting the grass cut.
Bill D volunteered to get a quote for a
weed-n-feed to get rid of the weeds & help
green things up a bit.
Bill D has also volunteered to work on the points
and figure out why the irrigation system isn't
working.
Joe Clark has been given an honorary membership
for 2007 for his efforts in helping the club with
a fund raiser. Thanks for good work Joe!
Trainer - As of now the trainer is still in
Mark's possession awaiting covering. Ron H is
supposed to pick the plane up and cover it so we
can have the club trainer back. UPDATE:
The club trainer is complete and ready to go.
4-4-07
Sid Johnson has donated the lawnmower that he
promised. UPDATE: As Bill & Todd were loading
the tractor onto the trailer to bring it to the
field, the transmission went out. They are going
to contact the dealer to see if they know of
another one (USED of course) that may have a
transmission that we can put into it at little or
no cost.
New Member Walter Delve (Did I spell it right?)
has joined us. Welcome aboard Walter!
The Big Bird Classic in Holland is coming up June
15th and 16th. We have an open invitation to fly
the night before with everyone. Pancake breakfast
& fun starts the following day at 7:00 AM.
Fred Church made the motion to ajourn the meeting
at 7:35 PM - the motion was seconded and passed.
