The meeting started a few minutes late, but not too bad. It could have had something to do with half of us going to get
a burger before the meeting. Lyle called the meeting to order at around 7:10 and the minutes of the previous meeting
were read and approved as with the treasury report. There were a few items of old business that were discussed.

One of the first things discussed were the tickets for the airplane giveaway. For legal reasons I guess we aren't going to
call it a raffle. Instead of it being a "Raffle" you are buying shares in the airplane and when the winner is chosen he/she will
be the sole "caretaker" of the investment. Funny how this legal stuff works - but it's in the best interest of the club to avoid
a 'raffle' I guess.

Bob reported that out of the 40 tickets that he had, there are only 8 remaining in his possession as well as the possibility that
there might still be a few available over at House of Hobbies. The drawing is going to take place at the meeting after all the
tickets are sold or at the June Fun Fly. Whichever comes first.

If you still don't have a ticket - contact Bob or go to House of Hobbies & get one! They are almost gone!

The next topic was verifying the date for the spring cleanup at the field. This is a very important part of membership - taking
care of the field that everyone flies at. I know I am new to the club (We'll discuss that in a minute) but I have been out there
many times in the past and have always been impressed by the appearance. I know that it's not fun going out there to clean
the place up each spring, but it's very important for the image of the club. All of your help will be appreciated by everyone
who comes out to see us fly. The clean up date is set for April 29th starting at 1:00 PM. It was decided that in the next
couple of meetings a list would be compiled of all of the items that need attention. So please, mark your calendars for this
very important day out at the field! Questions / Comments / Concerns should be directed to Gary.

There was also a discussion of having a team get together to put on a flight demonstration down at the summerfest this year.
If you are interested in demonstrating your skills and the fun of RC 3D flight, talk to Lyle. We still need to find out who to
talk to for scheduling when this demonstration will take place as well as where and the space required. Again, if you would
be interested in joining the demonstration contact Lyle.

The idea here is to generate interest for local residents who might turn around and frequent the field, maybe a little more
likely for them to come out when we have large events - or even get a few of them started in the hobby. Who knows? It's
all about having fun and sharing the hobby with other people.

I'll have to admit, I got a little lost when they were talking about dates for the fun fly this summer - As soon as I get with Lyle
I will verify the date that was chosen and get it posted here. So much jumping between June and July and each weekend in
there I missed the specific date that was agreed on.

Fred brought forward an informal quote (nothing in writing yet) for having a 50' x 600' paved runway out at the field. He is
going to get some more details about the job and bring them to the next meeting for further discussion. The question was
raised about the club being able to pave a runway out there in the waste water and the answer was pretty much that we
can do whatever we want as long as we inform them of our intentions. We are apparently the "Golden Children" of the
wastewater facility as it was put.

There is a team fun fly scheduled for September 16th and we will have more information on that as the time draws near.

Wings of Mercy as it happened before is not necessarily going to happen again this year. There was a short discussion
that it might be a joint venture between Port City RC Club and Grand Valley RC. Further questions should be directed
to Gary or Bob.

A motion was made to continue the associate membership program with Grand Valley RCers - the motion was seconded
and put to vote. Everyone voted for it with no real discussion. Must be you are all happy with the program?

One of the last items that was suggested was to offer a membership to me for my efforts here at portcityrcclub.com. I believe
I heard a motion and a second with little hesitation from anyone and it went to a vote and passed. So, Thank you for having
me as a member of your club. I'll continue to work to promote the club, the hobby, and maintain your new website for you.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:50 and that's about it!
