Note: If you are a club
member and were registered on the old
site, you will have to re-register your
user name and login for the following
services if you choose to use them:
Forum, Chat & Gallery
The reasons are as follows:
1.) The information that was at the old
server is not available for me to move to
the new server.
2.) The services offered here (Chat,
Forum & Gallery) are not the same
services you had there.
3.) The services here come in from
multiple servers. You will need to
register for each service.
Once you setup for each of the services
you will be able to select "Remember
Me" on the gallery
and "Stay Logged In Forever" on
the forum.
The chat requires you to log in at each
visit. |

The chat is easy - simply put your
name in the top box, you DO NOT have to
put an email address in. Type your
message
in the third box and either hit post or
"Enter" on your keyboard. |

So far, I have left & come back
to the site many times and it is keeping
my name & email in the box just fine.
You shouldn't
have to fill that out at each visit.
Please correct me if I am wrong and you
have troubles with it. |

Sometimes you might see a message pop
up that says it couldn't post your
message, just hit "Post" or
"Enter" again
and it should be fine. |

Avatars can be used.
If you know the URL for the image you
want to use put it in the middle box
instead of your
email address. If you aren't sure of the
URL then simply EMAIL the picture to me
and I'll send you the URL to use.
For the avatar to work you must leave
that link in there. |

Who is online? Right
above your name you'll see "X users
online" click it and you'll see a
list of who is chatting, who
is viewing and the number of guests who
are currently viewing the site. |

| Forum Issues: |

| Problem: I can't log into the
forum! |
Probable Cause: You are
probably not registered yet.
People have been trying to log
into the forum without
registering
first. Your login information was
not transfered to the new site /
new server. Sorry for the
inconvenience. |

| Problem: I can't upload
files! |
| |
| Probable Cause: Though you have
registered for the gallery, you will have
to log in the first time. Remember to
click "Remember Me" when you do
log in so you will not have to login when
you return to the site on another day. |

| Problem: I am logged into the
Gallery but I still can't upload files. |
| |
Possible Cause: Your computer's clock
is not set properly. Make sure that you
have checked the clock. When the server
sees a time that is way off it throws up
security alerts and will not let you
function in the gallery. It may appear
that you are logged in - but the system
still has not allowed you to.
Once you reset your clock - try again. If
that does not solve the issue please let
me know. |

| I am logged in and it all
looks good - how do I upload files? |

| Look at the "@" symbol next
to the house on the gallery main page.
Click it and look for "Upload
File(s)" |
| Click it. You will now have multiple
boxes to upload with. You can use one or
all of them - it's up to you. |
| Click on the "Browse"
button and find the file on your
computer. Click "Open" |
| The file path should now appear in
that long white box. Click
"Continue" at the bottom of
that screen. |
| Your file should upload. Now it's
time to select which catagory suits it
best - click continue when done. |
| You now can (optional) put a title
(caption) on the image and a description.
Once done you will need to |
| click "Continue". You
should then see a box that says
"Files setup correctly" or
something like that anyways. |
| Click "Continue" Again and
you have successfully uploaded your file
or files. |

| Advertisements: |
| |
| Q) Why are there so many
advertisements on the new site? |
| A) I am not getting paid to build or
maintain the site for you.. The ads
simply pay me a few pennies here and
there for my efforts. This gives me all
the motivation to make sure that the
entire world knows where to find Port
City RC. Which will in turn (hopefully)
bring you new members and add to your
fun. |
